Next Installment...

Still waiting...

But now I know that as soon as the website says 'Meet and Greet Full' - then they will be sending out emails to the lucky people. At the moment, the site says 'Request Meet and Greet' - so I know I still may have a chance...but I'm still not getting my hopes up - I know I'll enjoy myself either way!!

APPLIED!

It's the 17th May...and I have just applied for a meet and greet with Brad Paisley.

I'm not going to get my hopes up because many people will request to meet him...but please fingers crossed (and maybe a prayer :P).

Please!

17th May...

I had a quick look on the website and should the 15th May fall on a Saturday, the M&Gs shall be posted on the first Monday...which makes it the 17th.

Fingers crossed...

I really hope I can meet Brad...he's truly inspirational, got me back into playing guitar (not personally unfortunately...but through his music!), and he just seems like a great guy!

The 15th is coming closer...

I've been informed that on the 15th of each month is when you can apply for meet and greet (M&G) sessions!

I am seeing Brad Paisley in JUNE...which means that this month I can apply! And the 15th is in a few days...I really hope I can apply for a M&G because it'll be so much easier than running to meet him at the stage door.

Fingers crossed.

The day is drawing nearer...

Keep checking back...

The Story Continues...

Not much has actually developed...but I felt I should post now I have followers!

Shout out to Mim and Wellsy!

I went home for Easter and I had post. The envelope was white, was sent by recorded delivery (always a good sign), and I opened it to find the two tickets for his concert! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!! I was so gosh darn so excited (can you tell from me using my southern Americanisms?).

I love having tickets in my hand...it makes it so much more real. I will be seeing Brad Paisley in concert. I WILL.

Here's a funny story for you...

Before leaving Preston for Easter, we had Miriam to stay. It was a lovely chance to see the wonderful Miriam! Before she left, I said how instead of going to Wimbledon, I was going to a concert...and this was our quick conversation...

Mim - 'Oh yes, I read that on facebook! You're seeing Brian...'
Me - 'Brad'
Mim - 'Raynor?'
Me - 'Paisley'

It may have been a 'You had to be there moment' - but it always cracks me up!

Brad Paisley is his name, and hugging him is my game. (or just meeting him, he's married)

Married to Kimberley Williams-Paisley, famously known for her role as Annie in the 'Father of the Bride' films. She's great, he's great. What a family.

Anyway, going a bit off track here.

Sometime in May, I'll find out if the concert will have a Meet and Greet opportunity...if it does, I shall apply and have to wait! If not, I'll be finding the stage door and waiting for him!

Day 1

Hey,

This blog is inspired by the website, A Hug from Taylor Swift, but I thought I'd change it a bit. I love Taylor Swift, but I'd actually prefer to meet the man himself, Brad Paisley! And as I couldn't think of a catchy blog name, I just made the name relevant for my aim...which is to meet Brad Paisley, and if a hug comes with it, I'd be happy!

Background --

I first saw and heard Brad in November 2007, when I was watching the CMA Awards at home. He performed 'Online' and I was an instant convert. By the time Christmas came around, I got his album, '5th Gear' and that just made me an even bigger fan. Since then, I've been listening to him, getting his albums, watching the CMAs, and trying to spread the name and music of Brad Paisley!

Back in 2007, I hadn't been to a concert since 2001. I looked online to see if he had plans in coming to England...and there were none. I was disappointed, but came to the reality that I had to wait to go over to the US before I could see him...so I continued to listen and buy his albums regardless!

2007 -----------J-U-M-P--T-O------------------------> March 2010

Then four days ago, I stumbled onto a ticket website and to my shock, I saw the words I was not expecting! 'BRAD PAISLEY - 23rd June and 24th June' - my heart leapt!! My birthday is on the 22nd June, where I shall turn 20 - so I phoned my parents and they agreed to buy some tickets for my birthday! What a day!

This is where this all intertwines...I have the tickets, I am now a fully fledged fan on his website...and I sure hope meet and greets are happening!

Keep watching for the next installment!
